Thad Vandeventer- Founder/Podcast Host/Writer

Thad is the founder of Indy Sports Crew.  He has put together this site and this team of contributors to discuss all the big topics, issues, and headlines going on in Indiana sports.  Thad is from Jasonville, IN in Greene County where he graduated from Shakamak High School.  He attended Indiana University where he studied Sport Communications- Broadcast.

Thad has tried to keep involved with sports as much as possible after graduation.  He works at Lids Team Sports where they focus on team jersey, apparel, and equipment sales.  He also is currently on staff for the Indiana Sports Talk radio show, the most listened to sports show in the history of the state of Indiana, and he is also a part time producer for ESPN 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis.  Thad has volunteered at numerous sporting events in Indianapolis including the 2009 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Midwest Regional, 2011 Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Basketball tournaments, and the 2011 Horizon League Tennis Championships.  Thad has also done some broadcasting with Media Five Sports Production where he helped cover Greene County and South Knox High School basketball.

He was born an IU basketball and Chicago Cubs fan thanks to his dad.  Thad is also an avid follower of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and IU football.  He made his first trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May 2011 for Pole Day and the Indianapolis 500.  Thad was instantly taken by the history, tradition, and meaning of the Speedway.  He has since started following the IndyCar Series.

Thad now lives in Greenwood, IN with his wife Jessica and son Graham.

Chris Kosiak- Podcast Host/Writer

He was born in Grand Forks ND, but has lived in a variety of places across the country. He has called Minnesota, North and South Dakota, New Mexico, and Indiana home.  Chris graduated from Shakamak High School in Jasonville, IN and attended Indiana State University where he majored in social studies education.

Chris is a well versed sports fan and opinionated in the following of his teams but also with the ins and outs of most major sports stories.

An avid Notre Dame football and men’s basketball fan. In the fall you can find him either in South Bend watching the Irish from the stands or glued to a TV either at home or a fine establishment cheering for his IRISH.  Chris is also a lifelong Minnesota Twins fan. Some of his fondest sports memories involve him going to Twins games with his parents on their annual trek to Minnesota.

Lover of college football and basketball, Major League baseball, and any underdog story!!!

Sports heroes include Kirby Puckett, Joe Montana, Larry Bird, and Reggie Miller. Some of the greatest nights in Chris’ life have been spent watching a nail biting sporting event with some of his closest friends and parents.
